A few key truths in life and work.
A few key truths in life and work:
🔑 Force multipliers → There are times in a company/team's life when someone joins who is a force multiplier...who can take your work and make it exponentially more impactful, effective, useful. David's already done this and so much more - as a speed dial sounding board for our founders, for his open and honest learnings with our community, and his genuine love of helping other founders grow and learn and get better through all the ups and downs of building a world class company
🔑 Keep learning → The only way to get better in life is to keep learning. You can learn slowly on your own - or you can learn faster with others (and have a lot more fun). David's already taught us so much, shared such meaningful insights - yes, on the operational front with founders, but perhaps even more important: how we as VCs can be a better, more thoughtful and supportive partner to our founders
🔑 Timing → As much as we all want to plan/control/optimize - sometimes things need to bloom on their own terms. In the case of David with BetterCloud and us here at Work-Bench - 10 years let us both go on our own journeys and learn a hell lot. I appreciate more than ever that sometimes great things take time - it's worth the wait
And lastly - if you're lucky enough in life to work with people who you respect and admire and can be super real and have good laughs with → you've won the work lotto. We are so lucky to have David believe in what we are building at Work-Bench, and to wake up everyday with great purpose, energy, and joy to fight the good enterprise fight. Every Thursday is honestly better with David in the office with us! 😎
Welcome aboard our wacky nonstop all out Work-Bench train, David Politis - we and the entire NYC enterprise/SaaS community are so lucky to have you with us! 🗽
